Shareholders of the Belgian and Irish PTOs Belgacom and Eircom are reportedly pressing for IPO flotations this quarter, claiming market sentiment is right for telecoms stocks. Belgacom – which is currently majority owned by a consortium of SBC, Singapore Telecom and TDC – will seek a listing on the Brussels Euronext exchange, while Eircom is likely to choose the London Stock Exchange and possibly also the Nasdaq.
