mobilcom reports first rise for two years

21 Jan 2004

German mobile phone reseller mobilcom reported 4.2 million customers at the end of 2003, up 100,000 on the previous quarter and the company’s first reported rise in customers for two years. The beleaguered telco has been embroiled in a long-running battle between its shareholders, whilst simultaneously embarking on a drive to offload unprofitable accounts. Following its upturn in fortunes, mobilcom now hopes to reach 4.4 million customers by the end of the year.
