Mobile vendor Sony Ericsson has posted its second quarterly profit since its 2001 launch, on the back of a 13% year-on-year increase in shipments during the last three months of 2003. Net profit for the fourth quarter was EUR43 million, compared to a EUR69 million loss twelve months before, with turnover reaching EUR1.44 billion (up from EUR1.24 billion) on sales of eight million units. The vendor sold a total 27.2 million handsets in 2003, up 19% year-on-year, whilst turnover rose 12% over the twelve months to reach EUR4.67 billion.
