According to the National Telecommunications Authority (NHH), the number of cellular subscribers in Hungary rose by 1.4% to 7.7 million at the end of November last year, with the penetration rate growing by 1% to 76.3%. The majority of the growth was driven by Matav subsidiary Westel Mobile, which added around 60,000 customers during the month, taking its market share to 47.4%. Vodafone took a 16.52% share at the same date, having added 36,000 users, while Pannon GSM had 36.08% and added 10,000.
