Network sharing okayed by regulator

Spain’s telecoms regulator has confirmed that the country’s four 3G licensees – Telefónica Móviles, Vodafone, Amena and Xfera – will be permitted to share network equipment in a moved aimed at speeding up commercial launch of services. According to the science and technology minister, Juan Costa, Xfera – the only one of the four not currently a commercial concern – will launch later this year in compliance with the terms of its licence.
