The board of German telco Deutsche Telekom is contemplating proposals to cut the pay of the management board in the hope of winning approval from unions for its planned 10% reduction in workers’ pay. DT hopes to trim its EUR13 billion annual wage bill by some EUR500 million and has outlined a plan to reduce hours for 100,000 staff at its T-Com fixed line unit by up to 10%.
