Chilean Wi-Fi network integrator Broadband Telecom has announced plans to invest USD10 million into the rollout of hotspots in Chile and the Latin American region next year. The company has already spent USD2 million this year, financing the installation of hotspots by Chilean company Manquehue Net. It hopes to reach similar agreements with other operators in neighbouring countries in 2004, creating a regional network of hotspots.
