Orange shares resume trading

4 Dec 2003

Following a day’s suspension, Orange shares have resumed trading on the Paris bourse. However France Telecom’s buy-out offer to minority shareholders remains on hold, after a shareholder group challenged the French financial services regulator – the AMF – over its decision to allow the buy out to continue. The Association pour la Defense des Actionnaires Minoritaires (ADAM) maintains the EUR9.50 per share offered by FT is too low and has appealed to the court, a move which could delay completion of the offer by months.
