T-Mobile happy with t-zones take-up rates

Deutsche Telekom’s pan-European mobile subsidiary T-Mobile has said its multimedia service t-zones now has more than 4.9 million unique active users per month around the globe. The company said its t-entertainment channels, including t-sports, t-games and t-music, were the most popular amongst its European customers, driving 70% of traffic across the UK, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic. T-Mobile claims its subscribers made 18.5 million downloads in the twelve months to the end of October 2003, 68% of which were ringtones and 20% of which were game downloads. T-Mobile’s principal entertainment content partners are MTV, Universal Music, Sony, Turner Broadcasting and Handy.de.
