Swedes to get free 3G SIM cards

Scandinavian heavyweight TeliaSonera has told its 3.6 million Swedish GSM customers that it will not charge them for swapping their existing SIM cards for new cards that can be used on its GPRS and 3G networks. TeliaSonera will start a 3G trial for 500 customers on 1 December, before launching the service commercially in March 2004.
