Indian cellco Tata Teleservices yesterday contracted Swedish vendor Ericsson to build out a cdma2000 1X mobile network. The deployment of the network is planned to begin immediately with services to be launched in the first quarter of 2004. Ericsson hopes the deal will help boost its market share in the CDMA sector.
