Ecuadorian state holding company Fondo de Solidaridad will launch a tender for the management of the fixed line telcos Andinatel and Pacifictel tomorrow. Bidding rules, which cost USD20,000 will be on sale until 6 October. Pre-qualification documents must be submitted to the regulator by 30 October, with financial bids due to be submitted by 18 November. There will be a single winner for contracts to manage both companies. Ten have so far expressed an interest including Deutsche Telekom, Telefónica, Impsat, Korea Telecom, Pentascope, France Telecom and Telecom Italia.
