The UK’s second largest mobile phone retailer, Phones 4u has banned its 2,500 staff from e-mailing each other, in a bid to improve efficiency and save staff time worth GBP1 million a year; personal e-mail has already been banned. The group’s chief executive John Cauldwell said: ‘e-mail was insidiously invading Phones 4u so I banned it immediately’.
