Deutsche Telekom calls off sale of DeTeMedien

18 Sep 2003

German telecoms giant Deutsche Telekom has revealed that it will not sell its telephone directories subsidiary DeTeMedien. The operator had initially been looking at disposing of the unit in a bid to raise some capital and reduce its heavy debt pile, but has not revealed any reasons behind its change of heart. DeTeMedien publishes the country’s white and yellow page directories, as well as providing information via CD-ROMs and internet portals.
