Taiwan’s government has said it will start accepting licence applications from companies or groups wishing to become mobile virtual network operators (MVNO) in the country, from 1 September 2003. Officials at the Directorate General of Telecommunications (DGT) say there will be no specific requirements concerning the required capital for MVNO firms and that the number of licenses to be granted is unlimited.
