Lucent to build out DWDM backbone for Dacom

Wireline and broadband service provider Dacom has signed a contract with Lucent Technologies for the latter to supply optical and networking systems to expand the telco’s dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) backbone network. Lucent will deploy its EON micro optical system.
