Tele2: profit up for Q2

Sweden’s second largest telco, Tele2, has reported a rise in operating profit for the second quarter of 2002 to SEK1.54 billion (USD192.5 million), up from SEK1.12 billion at the same time in 2002. Sales were up 21% year-on-year to SEK9.2 billion and the operator signed up 1.06 million new subscribers in the three month period.
