Greek odyssey: Nokia and Telestet test 3G publicly

Greek mobile operator STET Hellas Telecommunications (Telestet) has demonstrated the country’s first public W-CDMA third-generation mobile call over a fully commercial network, using equipment supplied by Finnish vendor Nokia. The company plans to launch services towards the end of this year and has thus far deployed 3G infrastructure in Athens and Salonica.
