Intelsat and TIBA to cooperate on LA coverage

2 Jul 2003

Bermuda-based satellite operator Intelsat has announced that it will be cooperating with Argentinian satellite connectivity provider TIBA to improve TV signal reception across the region. TIBA will install 800 TVRO antennae across Latin America, allowing the region’s cable TV providers to access a greater variety of programming, either directly via the Intelsat 805 satellite’s coverage of western Europe and the Americas, or indirectly via Intelsat’s GlobalConnex system.
