Colombia Móvil has selected Siemens as the provider of a GSM 1900 network; the deal will include the rollout of GPRS and EDGE equipment. Colombia Móvil is planning to launch commercial operations in October, going head to head with three existing operators BellSouth, Comcel and Celcaribe.
