Lucent to upgrade CDMA infrastructure

Lucent Technologies [NYSE:LU] has won a contract from OSP Polpager to expand and upgrade its Warsaw network enabling, it claims, more efficient and cost effective services to be offered to both business and residential users. cdma2000 1X modular cell base stations operating in the 850MHz spectrum, and mobile switching centre technology will be installed by Lucent which intends to complete the first stage of the process in the summer.
