Nokia under-plays 3G impact

Finnish handset giant Nokia delivered a cautious note of warning yesterday that it does not anticipate the market for 3G handset sales flourishing until the second half of 2004 at the earliest. The statement follows hard on the heels of news that European operators are recommending that all 3G phones be kept out of the shops as they are unreliable, bulky and offer limited service coverage.
