German authorities coordinate network planning

16 Jun 2003

Local authorities and mobile telephony operators in Germany have successfully concluded a programme of joint recommendations for future planning of their network expansions in the country. The ‘References and Information about the Mobile Telephony Agreement’ policy document sets down guidelines for a unified approach in choosing sites and building base stations, with the aim of improving transparency in the process. The latest agreement follows the adoption of the mobile telephony agreement signed by operators and authorities in July 2001.
