MMS gateway trial a success

Mobile Cohesion, a leading provider of VAS management infrastructure, and Iceland Telecom have announced the successful completion of trials of Mobile Cohesion’s Hydra Multimedia Access Gateway. The system was tested to see how it would fare when standard web-based multimedia content was delivered by MMS after being requested by SMS shortcodes. The move is being marketed by the two companies as a major step towards the delivery of 2.5G and 3G services in the country.
