TeliaSonera axes 1,500

Nordic telecoms giant TeliaSonera [TLSN.ST] is to cut 1,500 jobs at its Swedish unit as part of its restructuring announced in April. Around 700 full-time employees will be axed, with the remainder made up of contracted staff and early retirements. The group currently has around 12,500 employees in Sweden.
