Ministry drafts new EU-friendly laws

Hungary’s IT and Telecoms Ministry has completed its drafting of a new electronic communications law aimed at bringing the country’s market in-line with EU regulations. The law focuses on the introduction of number portability and a cut in fixed-to-mobile charges, and is due to come into force when Hungary accedes to the EU in 2004.
