Regulator looking to halt OTE’s discounts

Greek telecoms regulator EETT has announced plans to suspend the discounts offered by dominant fixed line operator OTE, while it looks into the legality of the packages. OTE, which is rapidly losing its market share to newcomers, has cut its domestic long-distance call rates on Sundays to the local call price of EUR0.026 per minute, but the move has been met with hostility from other players who claim it is at an unfair advantage.
