Czech mobile market on course for saturation

The penetration of mobile services in the Czech Republic has surpassed 85%, according to figures released by the nation’s three operators. At the end of March 2003 leading operator Eurotel, owned by the national PTO Cesky Telecom, reported 3.95 million subscribers, whilst competitors RadioMobil (owned by T-Mobile) and Cesky Mobil (TIW Eastern Europe) reported 3.55 million and 1.27 million respectively. the country is now home to 8.77 million mobile customers, up from 6.95 million at the end of 2001.
