Telus boosts service portfolio

Vancouver-based telco Telus has launched a range of turnkey and managed wireless local area network (WLAN) products for SMEs. Four key services are being offered based on the 802.11b technology standard, including a monitored service and managed delivery. Customers can choose from one of three architectures; a turnkey private WLAN; a semi-private WLAN that allows internet access to pre-authorised users; and a semi-private WLAN with hotspots, which allows pre-authorised users access to the internet as either a courtesy or a revenue opportunity.
