More delays likely for new European legislation

Industry concerns over the exigent need to overhaul Europe’s telecoms legislation look likely to continue following an announcement from France that it expects to miss the July deadline to pass new rules into law. Germany and Belgium are also likely to be late whilst the Netherlands may not pass the new laws until next year following its recent political instability. It is feared that delays will damage attempts to create a level regulatory playing field.
