Spain’s Xfera remains cautious over 3G

1 Apr 2003

Spanish UMTS licensee Xfera has said that it will struggle to invest the EUR135 million it agreed with the government in its 3G network this year as the technology is not yet available. The cellco still plans to launch 3G in 2004 but has said services are likely to be introduced closer to September than July. The company is keen to wait until the technology is in a stable position before taking the plunge.
