Bidders submit offers for MobilCom’s UMTS network

German telecoms company MobilCom says its has received two bids for its UMTS network. According to MobilCom chief executive Thorsten Grenz, the offers are said to be ‘very similar’, and are believed to range from EUR10 million to EUR30 million. Grenz declined to name the interested parties, although possible contenders are thought to be KPN’s E-Plus and mmO2’s German division which have both expressed an interest in acquiring the network.
