A series of strikes and protests at 34 of BT Group’s UK call centres have broken out after the telco announced plans to create 2,200 call centre jobs in India. BT said it will invest GBP3 million in India, but workers in the UK fear that their jobs could be cut to fund the operation. BT has shrugged off concerns that it could face a massive union strike.
