Qualcomm raises outlook for 2003 as 3G demand improves

US-based mobile vendor Qualcomm has raised its sales forecast for 2003 as wireless customers speed up their rollout of 3G networks and demand for its CDMA handsets increases. The company expects to ship 23 million – 25 million MMS phones in the third quarter of the year, up from 16 million in 2002.
