Australian losses widen for Hutchison

Australia’s youngest cellco Hutchison Telecommunications had a mixed 2002. It reported a net loss of AUD197.3 million, up from losses of AUD117 million in 2001, whilst sales fell by half to AUD236.5 million. However, the company claimed 324,000 subscribers at the end of the year, up from 193,000 twelve months before, but short of its 400,000 target.
