4 Feb 2003

UK-based mobile start-up fastmobile has revealed plans to launch a ‘push-to-talk’ mobile service in the UK in April, with the rest of Europe to follow. The service, operating under the banner ‘fastchat’, will utilise existing GPRS networks to enable mobile users to use their smartphone handsets as a two-way radio service, payable by the second.
