Sprint seeks to poach BellSouth vice chairman

3 Feb 2003

Rival US telcos BellSouth and Sprint are locked in battle over the future of BellSouth vice chairman, Gary Forsee, who has been earmarked to take over as the new chief executive of Sprint. Late last week BellSouth filed a temporary restraining order against Mr Forsee, mirroring a clause in his contract which prevents him from working for a rival company within 18 months of leaving his current position. The two firms are holding talks in a bid to resolve the dispute.
