Oftel backs Vodafone’s request for cheaper fixed links

27 Jan 2003

UK telecoms regulator Oftel has set out proposals to enable Vodafone to purchase cut price fixed links from BT. The move comes in response to a request submitted by Vodafone, which currently pays retail prices for the links it uses to connect its base stations to the rest of its network. The draft direction was published on Friday with all responses to the proposal to be submitted by 21 February.
