ADSL demand exceeds expectations in Switzerland

27 Jan 2003

High demand for ADSL services in Switzerland has led to a shortage of available ADSL ports and delays in delivery times, according to national PTO Swisscom. The telco claims that a flood of orders late last year saw the country exceed its year-end target of 200,000 ADSL connections. Swisscom says it is doing all it can to remedy the problem and expects normal service to be resumed by April.
